Privacy Policy
This page explains how the SSDA app collects, uses, and safeguards your
information when you write novels and film scripts with our service and
connect to Dropbox for storage and syncing.
1. Information We Collect
- Account details you provide or approve through sign-in (name, email,
profile image).
- Writing content and files you create or upload in the app. These are
stored locally and in your linked Dropbox account when you choose to
sync.
- Usage and device data (app version, device type, language settings,
limited diagnostic logs) to keep the service reliable and secure.
- We do not collect additional information without your consent.
- Messages you send to our support team and any information you
include in those conversations.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve core writing and syncing features.
- Store and back up your work to Dropbox when you request it, and help
you restore or access those files.
- Personalize your experience (for example, preferred language and
view settings).
- Protect the service, prevent fraud or abuse, and troubleshoot
issues.
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
We do not use your personal data or creative content for AI training,
data analysis, or any type of model development. If we ever need to
access document data, it is strictly limited to debugging issues,
reproducing errors, or improving essential app functions.
We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to third
parties.
3. Data Storage and Security
- We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide the
service.
- Security measures are applied to protect your data from unauthorized
access.
- We are not responsible for information leaks caused by external
hacking beyond our reasonable security measures.
4. Sharing Your Information
- We do not sell your personal information or share it with
advertisers.
- We share data only with service providers we rely on to run SSDA
(for example, Dropbox for file storage and identity providers for
login), and only for the purposes described above.
- We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the
rights, safety, and integrity of our users or the service.
5. Your Choices
- Disconnect your Dropbox account whenever you choose to stop cloud
syncing.
- Stop using the app and deletion of stored data via direct inquiry.
